Floral 360 Elevator

BlenderTouchDesignerResolume

Over a six-month creation period, I developed an immersive, audioreactive live AV set titled Things Are Not What They Seem, in collaboration with sound artist Djeity, for the internationally renowned MUTEK Festival.

At the core of the work was a library of 3D looping animations built in Blender, designed to sustain hypnotic, cyclical momentum. I integrated these into TouchDesigner to achieve real-time audioreactivity, where every sonic detail directly informed the visuals. During the live performance, I used Resolume to VJ the show, weaving in additional reactive effects for a performance that felt fluid, raw, and alive.

Visually, the piece embodied my signature style: a collision of organic flora motifs and grunge-inspired urban textures, unfolding within vast 360° environments. These surreal, large-scale spaces were animated with sweeping, grand motion across the dome, immersing the audience in a dreamlike yet visceral journey.

The result was a synesthetic performance where sound and image became inseparable, dissolving the boundaries between the natural and the industrial, the intimate and the monumental.
