Alice Aterman, 2025

Alice Aterman (@al11z) is a digital multimedia artist based in Montreal/Tiohtià:ke. Influenced by urban grunge, surrealism, and light dynamics, her visuals transport viewers to alluring yet uncanny dimensions. Working primarily with 3D animation, she blends digital and physical realms through concert visuals, animated flyers, mixed-reality VFX, AR, and VR.

Alice creates immersive, audio-reactive experiences where sound drives the visual narrative. Using tools like TouchDesigner and Resolume, she designs real-time visuals that glitch and evolve with music. In 2025, she presented a live A/V show ‘Things Are Not What They Seem’  with collaborator Djeity in the SAT dome at MUTEK Montréal, featuring immersive 360° audio-reactive visuals. Her practice also extends into VR: during her 2024 CO/CREATE residency at World Creation Studio, she built audioreactive worlds in Unreal Engine exploring the theme of postreality. She has also led workshops on audio-reactive visuals at World Creation Studio. Her large-scale visual works have been featured at events including EDC Thailand, Nocturnes du MAC, North Coast Festival, and Stay in Bloom Festival.

Driven by curiosity and connection, Alice experiments at the intersection of art, sound, and immersive tech. Follow her latest work on Instagram @al11z.
